Mr. Schroeder, Ms. Li, and Ms. Wu are in their third year of teaching. Mr. Schroeder focuses on ways to teach and assess every student in his classroom. Ms. Li pursues her studies in bilingualism. Ms. Wu researches historical ways of teaching and learning another language. Together, they explore the role of educators in making decisions to meet the needs of English learners (ELs), including ELs who may have a disability and ELs who may be gifted. Educators must be able to focus on all students’ strengths and make every accommodation possible to provide appropriate support. The following Power Point presentations, documents, videos, and links provide information on methods, curriculum, and materials to meet the needs of English learners.
